On the auspicious occasion of Surma Devi Birijat Mela 2082

The religious, historical and touristic Surma Devi Birijat Mela, which will be held in Surma Rural Municipality Ward No. 4, Bajhang District, Far Western Province, is being organized by Surma Sarobar Youth Society at Pipaldanda, a model child development basic school in Surma Rural Municipality Ward No. 4, this year as well.

On the auspicious occasion of Surma Devi Birijat Mela, the religious, cultural and holy Birijat Mela of Bajhang district, which will be held from Shravan Shukla Ekadashi to Chaturdashi in 2082 BS, will be held from this Shravan 20th. Various programs have also been organized on the auspicious occasion of this Surma Devi Birijat Mela.

Open men's and women's volleyball competition, open women's and men's Deuda, dance and dhakena dance competition under the theme of public awareness

Shanta Bohara, President of Surma Sarobar Youth Society, informed that open men’s and women’s volleyball competitions, open women’s and men’s Deuda, dance and Dhakenach competitions have been organized under the title of public awareness. The first prize in men’s volleyball is Rs.120444(One lakh twenty thousand four hundred and forty-four) the second prize is Rs.65444(Sixty-five thousand four hundred and forty-four) and the third prize is Rs.35444(Thirty-five thousand four hundred and forty-four) Certificates, medals and trophies will also be handed over to the winners.

In the women’s volleyball category, the first place team will receive a prize of Rs. 50,444, the second place team will receive Rs. 26,444, and the third place team will receive Rs. 14,444, the organizers have stated. The registration fee for the men’s volleyball team is Rs. 8,000, while the registration fee for the women’s volleyball team is Rs. 3,500. The team selection will be from Shravan 11 to 19, while the inauguration of the program will begin at 11 am on the 20th.

The organizers have also stated that there is a provision for appropriate prizes in the Deuda and cultural programs. Similarly, there is a fee of 1,500 for the registration of the Dhankenach team, and a prize of 15,000 has been arranged for the first place. The second place will be awarded 10,000 rupees, and the third place will be awarded 5,000 rupees. And during the program, if there is any activity that disrupts the program by selling, distributing, or selling illegal alcohol, the Surma Sarobar Youth Society has stated that administrative action will be taken as per the decision of the Surma Rural Municipality Village Executive.
